It goes without saying, we welcome guests in the hopes that each family member may be able to relax and enjoy a memorable trip.
Unlike larger ryokan and hotels that have an array of features, our smaller 6 room lodging is run by a husband and wife creating a more personal atmosphere that allows us to give special attention to each guest.
Also, we have tried to eliminate some inconveniences for guests with limited mobility by installing handrails, slopes and elevators.
Maruyamaso is located along the Maruyama River, about a 5 minute drive from JR Kinosaki Onsen Station. All of our rooms naturally have a view of the river thanks to the superb location. You can also enjoy views of the impressive Maruyama River from the yard and lobby, as well as the baths. The night views from the baths as you soak in the hot waters are also quite lovely.
The mountain skyline gently spreads across the skyline changing its appearance through the seasons and creating a vivid panoramic view.
Kehi beach is a popular summer destination that's 1 minute by car and 10 minutes by foot. This is a wide shallow beach that is great to take children to. After returning in high spirits and slightly sun kissed, feel free to use the showers and washing machines, no charge for guests.
We proudly offer fresh seafood caught and purchased the same day from Tsuiyama Harbor, just across the river.
Tsuiyama Crab, famous as a luxury brand crab, makes its appearance in winter.
The head chef creates his favorite dishes for each season, everyone is elaborately planned to welcome our guests.
Both, breakfast and dinner are served in our dining room. All of our rooms are private so that you may enjoy your meals in comfort. There are different types of seating such as chairs, sunken floor seating, and tatami floor seating. We may not always be able to accommodate your request, but we will do our best to accommodate your family structure and needs.
There are 5 traditional Japanese style rooms with picturesque views and one bungalow style room with a partial open air bath.

Maruyamaso's most popular room! This spacious two room bungalow style room features a large terrace with an open-air bath as well as a Japanese cypress wood bath. Located away from the other rooms, recommended space for families to relax, groups to have fun, or a girls' getaway.
Attached garden and spacious room with 2 connected rooms, great for large families.
There are also two TVs, 2 wash basins, and a bidet toilet.
*This bungalow style room is counted as one room.
There are two baths on the second floor that are gender separated and interchange sides regularly.
On the first floor is a private bath. Enjoy the soothing waters at your leisure and soak away the day's stress.
Baths are open 24 hours.
Bathe in private at your own leisure in this private bath as you watch the rippling surface of the Maruyama River and enjoy the plants in the stone garden.
In the back of our main building is a special deck where you can have fun fishing with the kids.
*The rods provided by Maruyamaso are simple single poles for beginners and kids, please be aware that we do not have poles with reels.

We offer a small viewing tour of the local fireflies, the tour is for a limited time from mid June to mid July. How would you like to take a nice walk after dinner to watch the fireflies?
